- Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting, and operating system used to access our App.
4. HOW WE COLLECT YOUR DATA
We use different methods to collect data from and about you:
- Direct Interactions: You may give us your Identity, Contact, and Financial Data by filling in forms on our App or by corresponding with us by phone, email, or WhatsApp.
- Automated Technologies: As you interact with our Platform, we may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns.
- Third Parties: We may receive personal data about you from third parties, such as verification services (KYC) or payment processors.
5. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will only use your personal information when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
- Service Provision: To register you as a new customer and manage your Mukando (savings group) accounts and contributions.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations required by Zimbabwean law.
- Communication: To notify you about changes to our terms or privacy policy, and to provide customer support.
- Security: To detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
6. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

- Regulatory Authorities: The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ), the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), or other government bodies if required by law.
- Your Mukando Group: Limited information (such as contribution status) may be visible to other members of your specific savings group for transparency.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
7. DATA SECURITY
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way.
- Encryption: We use encryption protocols to protect data during transmission.
- Access Control: Access to your personal information is limited to employees, agents, and contractors who have a business need to know.
- Breach Notification: In the unlikely event of a data breach that risks your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the Data Protection Authority (POTRAZ) within 24 hours, as required by Zimbabwean regulations.

We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. By law, we may be required to keep basic information about our customers for a minimum of five (5) years after they cease being customers for tax and legal purposes.
